"I
want to be a mentor for young athletes today by setting
a positive environment for success. I want them to understand
the desire, determination, dedication and hard work
it takes to build a team from the inside out. I want
our girls to learn about respect for the game, their
team, and their coaches! We win and lose as a team,
not ONE player alone accomplishes winning or losing
for a whole team. I want our team to understand what
sacrifices it takes to be an athlete and that just having
talent can only get you so far. If you want to be just
a participant in a sport than you wont have to sacrifice
what an athlete does. Your body and your talent is a
gift that God gave you, don't waste it. You have to
work harder and longer than others and this is what
will set you apart from your competition. If you have
it in your heart you can go on any court against any
team and know your better. Once you step on the court
and you and feel less you will be defeated before the
game begins. I want our team to challenge themselves
every time they are on the court for a game or practice
because as a coach I will challenge you every time.
I feel that God has given me a gift and that is to coach,
I wont waste my gift and I won't allow our team to either.
Be prepared to push beyond what you have thus far, the
fun is just beginning." |
