Fundamentals
are the key to success. Teaching the pass, set, hit
sequence may not guarantee every win today, but it will
bring championships tomorrow! I'd rather lose playing
the game right than to win by reacting with scrappy
play. Teach girls the basics; Give them the tools to
be successful; Once an athlete knows what it feels like
to do something right and the success that goes with
it, she will be "hungry" to do it again! Aggression
and desire cannot be taught; they are unleashed. There
is no greater feeling as a coach than when a player
"gets it!" |
